Position Overview
At Zelig we are developing a proprietary virtual tryon technology which is aimed at revolutionizing online shopping by bringing the in-store experience of trying on clothes to the online market place. We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer who can assist in the development of this technology particularly in the tryon image generation process. Candidates will tackle image manipulation tasks centered on improving the realism of tryon outputs and build out tooling to support its development. Applicants must be proficient in Python and have a strong foundation of computer science concepts. The hired person must take ownership of their work and be a fast paced problem solver: someone who can meet deadlines, takes initiative, communicates effectively with mentors and colleagues, and iterates quickly to solutions that meet requirements and the coding standards of the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop computer vision algorithms for manipulation of garment images in our pipeline
- Own assigned work: fully understanding work given (seeking clarification when insufficient information was provided), performing coverage testing of their solutions, and documenting their work (including pros and cons of their solution).
- Communicate early and frequently on work progress, blockers, and ability to deliver work by target date.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver projects by agreed upon deadlines.
?Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Proven ability to develop in Python (work experiences/internships, side projects, and coursework)
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good practice in writing unit test, using GIT version control, performing regression test
- Able to work full-time without sponsorship from the company, and comply with our hybrid policy that requires employees to be in-office Monday through Thursday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a broader area of computer vision is highly preferred. Solid understanding of image processing techniques, computer vision algorithms, machine learning and deep neural networks including Generative AI in image space
- Experience in computer graphics is highly preferred, for example, 3d data simulation and image visualization techniques
- Experience using relevant ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience in optimizing/accelerating Python code
