- Position Summary
- The PC Systems/Applications Analyst is responsible for serving as primary resource for the application and use of organization-wide PC-based software, troubleshooting of PCs and peripheral operation, performing repairs and installing hardware and software. He/She will work with the Windows and UNIX Network/System Administrators in planning and implementing equipment, upgrades, and new software that affects end user devices. This includes, but is not limited to, Windows, Microsoft Office and antivirus software. The PC Systems/Applications Analyst is a resource for any implementation teams or departments that deal with organization-wide PC applications. The PC Systems/Applications Analyst will participate in necessary analysis of customized daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports from the IS department's trouble tracking system.

- Essential Functions
- Communicates effectively and openly in operations activities. Demonstrates courtesy, diplomacy, and tact in interactions with internal and external customers. Follows the customer service guidelines established by the organization. Fosters trust in relationships with workforce members.
- Monitors system usage indicators, job queues, and print queues, taking corrective action as needed.
- Responsible for operating the IS Call Center. Administrates the service ticket system with other workforce members. Manages computer system Downtime communication process.
- Orders, receives, configures, repairs and disposes of end user computer devices. Maintains end user device inventory. Documents common user issues and resolutions within Help Line ticketing system. Shares common issues with on-call staff.
- Troubleshoots end user problems with and has the ability to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot personal computers and peripheral equipment.
- Installs software using automated software installation or via remote control tools. Maintains active data security posture. Resolves computer virus/malware issues.
- Attends training as directed. Researches solutions to configuration and setup issues. Creates solutions using existing software and hardware tool set.
- Follows hospital rules, policies, and procedures as well as applicable laws and standards including those that are established for safe patient care and prompt reporting of patient safety issues and errors.
