Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an office setting.
Job Duties:
- Provide computer and database support for the Center for Health Care Policy and Resource Development (CHCPRD).
- Develop and maintain databases/tracking systems, including tracking materials received from outside agencies or tracking bureau leave requests.
- Perform data entry operations and ensure data quality control.
- Extract, analyze, and summarize database information.
- Organize and maintain electronic (and paper) files.
- Format documents in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Assist in tracking proposed legislative bills and regulations.
- Establish web-based meetings and conference calls.
- Handle printing, scanning, and photocopying tasks.
- Perform various administrative functions, including onboarding new staff members, organizing physical space, planning, and scheduling large meetings and events, monitoring shared email accounts, answering phones, referring calls, and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain executive calendars, order supplies, make travel arrangements, and assist in processing travel reimbursement requests.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Efficient and thorough in conducting online searches.
- Proficient in designing, maintaining, and working with electronic databases and systems.
Misc. Information:
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling 7.5 paid work hours per day and 37.5 paid work hours per week.
- Parking: Available only through pay lots or on-street parking.
- Public transportation (CDTA) is accessible.
- NYS computer equipment and on-the-job training will be provided.
- Telecommuting: May be allowed upon supervisory approval; candidates must be prepared for full-time office reporting, with their own home internet access capabilities.
- Interview will be conducted in person or via online based on the availability.
