We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Permanent Comptroller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on forecasting, budgeting, SOP's, P&L, variance reports, and managing an accounting team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the financial operations of our organization, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Comptroller, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounting operations, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Supervising the management of all general ledger activity, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
3. Preparing and presenting financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and variance reports.
4. Managing the preparation and execution of the organization's budget, forecasting future financial performance, and monitoring budget variances.
5. Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures (SOP's).
6. Ensuring all statutory requirements of the organization are met including taxation, and other necessary financial commitments.
7. Managing and mentoring the accounting team, fostering a workplace environment that is supportive and conducive to growth and development.
8. Working with external auditors and managing internal controls.
9. Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Comptroller position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, with a proven track record of successful financial management.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Proficiency in producing and interpreting financial reports and statements.
5. Experience with managing and developing an accounting team.
6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
8. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
10. Strong leadership skills, with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
