Responsibilities:
- Research component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles, and component construction processes.
- Generate Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Altered Item Drawings.
- Lead component part standardization and selection.
- Process change notices in PTC Windchill for Part Bill of Materials and maintain the engineering BOM in accordance with client processes.
- Develop component qualification test plans and execute part qualifications with test houses.
- Develop component screenings for parts as directed by the Parts Management Process plan.
- Lead Component Failure Investigations as needed.
- Participate in qualifying alternate test houses for part finish mitigations and part qualification.
- Research and determine the impact of PCNs and obsolescence on programs.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
- Component Engineering Experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with PTC Windchill application for BOM maintenance.
- Experience with RF Component Selection.
- Experience with Part qualification and Failure analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of military standards and automotive electronics standards.
