About the Role:
We are seeking a Component Assembler to join our second shift Metal Detection team. As a Component Assembler, you will be responsible for the initial assembly of Eriez industrial metal detectors, to include coil winding, potting and the installation of waterproof liners. Each assembler must maintain Eriez strict standards to ensure the easier electronic tuning and the proper operation of every metal detector. When the workload in Metal Detection is low, this position will backfill as a Level 1 Parts finisher for MD components.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble/wind MD coil assemblies to meet established standards.
- Perform assembly work in metal detector as directed by supervisor/leadman.
- Continue to train and guide junior employees to perform at a high level within the department.
- Proper layout, drill, tap, cut, grind, etc. as required.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
- Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, thermo-plastic welding equipment, etc.
- Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
- Basic understanding of mechanical assembly and electrical components.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to work a second shift schedule and maintain punctuality.

Hourly pay (starting from) : $17.45/hr.
