Overview:
The Compliance Support Administrator is responsible for ensuring program compliance with Federal multi-family housing programs and Federal requirements, interpreting Federal regulations and monitoring software to maintain compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Prevent and resolve compliance issues through collaboration with Applications Services and Accounting teams for holistic results during software implementation by:
◦ Providing information, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing issues.
◦ Researching and identifying applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards.
◦ Developing all standard changes related to TRACS/IMAX or Company software.
- Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing and analyzing proposed and adopted legislation and regulations.
- Answer questions and respond to requests through the helpdesk, within the service level agreement requirements. Responsible for all helpdesk inquiries, including but not limited to:
◦ Complicated compliance issues.
◦ Software issues, including communication regarding Housing Assistance Payments billings with the State and Federal agencies.
◦ Resident file reviews related to fraud and provides report recommendation.
- Perform compliance 504/Reasonable Accommodations/Modification request reviews with 504 committee members.
- Develop, facilitate, and assist in providing corporate training on Standards in collaboration with the Training Department, Compliance Department and Property Management.
- Maintain relationship with regulatory personnel responsible for revenue via HUD Assistance Payments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive compliance experience with Federal program(s) and Housing Assistance Payment vouchering systems.
- Experience with compliance regulations for Federal multi-family housing programs, such as but not limited to, LIHTC, HUD Project Based Section, HUD Project Based vouchers with demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and report.
- Must have solid customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of software, and the ability to use a broad range of job-related software including presentation applications.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
- Must be able to effectively communicate through listening, transmitting information accurately and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
- Some travel may be required.
