Compliance Specialist – Natural Gas & Pipeline
Location: Greater Shreveport area, LA, Houston, TX or Canonsburg, PA
Travel: up to 30%
The Compliance Specialist will apply pipeline operational knowledge and experience to ensure Company’s compliance with state and federal natural gas pipeline safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Audit operational and construction records for compliance with state and federal natural gas pipeline safety regulations and Company’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Plan.
- Audit operations and construction field activities for compliance with state and federal natural gas pipeline safety regulations, the Company’s O&M Plan and the Company’s Construction Specifications.
- Conducts evaluations of employee’s ability to perform Covered Tasks in accordance with Company’s Operator Qualification (OQ) Program.
- Conducts, coordinates and develops/revises evaluator training associated with OQ Program.
- Ensure records for employee and contractor Operator Qualifications are recorded into a database using 3rd party interface such as Veriforce, etc.
- Conducts training of Company employees on Construction Specifications, O&M Plan and results of record audits.
- Participates in the maintenance and review of the O&M Plan, Construction Specifications and other programs as may be requested.
- Stays current with current and proposed applicable state and federal pipeline safety codes.
- Serves as a liaison for all applicable stakeholders as identified in the Company’s Public Awareness Program.
- HS Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- 5 years of natural gas operations, maintenance, or support experience.
- Working knowledge of 49 CFR Part 191 and 192 and applicable state pipeline safety codes.
- Thorough knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations to evaluate Company operations and construction staff on OQ Covered Tasks.
- Experience in training and development of natural gas pipeline operations.
