Position Overview:
We are looking for a Paralegal to play a key role in supporting our Legal and Compliance teams. This individual will manage a variety of tasks, including corporate governance, contract oversight, compliance operations, and regulatory research, all critical to ensuring the organization meets industry and legal standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal documents, including correspondence, memos, and training materials, to support compliance initiatives.
- Conduct research on topics such as AML, OFAC, privacy laws, and other regulations affecting the company and its operations.
- Help develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training manuals in collaboration with internal teams.
- Monitor deadlines to ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and fulfillment of compliance obligations.
- Track and analyze updates to laws and regulations to keep the organization informed and compliant.
- Assist with corporate governance tasks, including maintaining official records, preparing board materials, and handling regulatory filings.
- Review and manage contracts related to vendors, partnerships, and clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support compliance audits by gathering data, preparing reports, and managing documentation.
- Maintain and organize department files, including research, administrative, and legal matter records.
- Collaborate with Accounting to track and report on external legal expenses.
- Provide administrative support for routine filings and other compliance-related tasks.
- Partner with internal teams to implement training programs that align with regulatory and operational needs.
- Monitor contractual reporting requirements and ensure timely follow-through on obligations.
- Assist in addressing day-to-day compliance matters under the supervision of the legal team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in legal studies, business, finance, or a related discipline. Paralegal certification is a plus. Minimum of 3 years as a paralegal. Hands-on experience with contract management and compliance-related activities.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in legal research and document management.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, contract law, and corporate governance.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal/business software tools.
