Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex litigation cases related to catastrophic and traumatic events.
- Develop and implement defense strategies, while maintaining high standards of legal and ethical conduct.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to guide case strategy.
- Draft and review various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters favorably and efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure effective case management.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal concepts and potential outcomes clearly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the State Bar in Florida or Illinois.
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a litigation attorney, specifically in complex litigation and defense.
- Proven experience handling cases related to catastrophic and traumatic events.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
