Complex Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney - Direct Counsel, LLC

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join the Insurance Group within a prominent Business & Commercial Practice. This non-partnership track role is open to attorneys admitted to practice in California, with opportunities available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, or San Diego.

About the Role:
This position is ideal for attorneys with 4+ years of experience in insurance litigation who are looking to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze coverage issues and draft comprehensive coverage analysis and position letters.
• Investigate cases, draft discovery demands and responses, and prepare motions.
• Litigate coverage and other insurance-related disputes.
• Represent clients during court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on business decisions related to litigation matters.
• Conduct extensive discovery practice, including depositions.

What We’re Looking For:

• California Bar admission is required.
• At least 4 years of experience in a law firm setting, with a strong focus on insurance litigation.
• Proficiency in coverage analysis, discovery, and court proceedings.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Annual salary range: $200,000 – $250,000 (commensurate with experience).
