About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Director to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive compensation, benefits, and wellness strategies that attract and retain top talent while supporting our organizational goals. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership and the HR team to ensure our Total Rewards programs align with business objectives, foster employee engagement, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Strategic Program Development
- Design and execute Total Rewards strategies, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition programs, to provide competitive, cost-effective, and appealing offerings for employees.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and HR to ensure Total Rewards initiatives align with organizational goals.
Compensation Management
- Advise HR and leadership on salary structures, pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluations.
- Lead the annual compensation processes, including merit reviews, market adjustments, promotions, bonus allocations, and equity distribution.
- Develop data-driven recommendations segmented by site, function, or position, ensuring budget alignment and clear communication.
- Administer annual bonus programs for management and executives, including calculations, approvals, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FLSA, DOL) and maintain internal pay equity.
Benefits Program Management
- Oversee the development and execution of the company’s benefits strategy in collaboration with brokers to offer cost-effective and contemporary programs.
- Benchmark benefit programs to maintain functional excellence and manage vendor relationships to ensure superior service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including the ACA, and prepare for audits conducted by internal teams or government entities (IRS, DOL, OFCCP).
Data Analytics
- Create and maintain HR metrics to measure functional performance and identify enterprise-level workforce trends.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the HR leadership team.
- Drive the development and implementation of HR tools and processes to support organizational initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal Compensation and Benefits team to enhance their capabilities and performance.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management.
- Demonstrated expertise in compensation data analysis and interpretation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, lookups, data manipulation).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business/Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of executive compensation practices and long-term incentive plans.
- Experience designing and implementing compensation, benefits, or HRIS systems.
- Strong operational knowledge of HRIS platforms.
