Salary Range: $39.20 - $58.20 / hour
The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.
Responsibilities:Position Overview:
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for ensuring overall pay competitiveness at CMHS. Reviews salary changes and contingent offers submitted by management to ensure internal equity is maintained. Researches and makes recommendations for salary grades to new positions and develops/maintains job descriptions. Researches inquiries regarding salary changes and provides recommendations on adjustments. Participates in industry wide compensation surveys as required. Handles annual increase cycles for staff and management, and performs detailed market analysis to ensure CMHS is able to recruit and retain quality staff. Ensures CMHS remains compliant with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs in all compensation practices.
Qualifications:Required:
- Associate’s Degree
- Three (3) years minimum experience performing compensation analysis
- Advanced user of MS Excel required (including Vlookups, Pivot Tables and managing large spreadsheets for labor costing and analysis)
- Proficient in other MS Office programs including Word, Power Point, and Outlook
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of California and Federal labor laws
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently in an environment with frequent competing deadlines
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous healthcare compensation experience
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and current Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
