Position Overview
The Sr Compensation Analyst serves as a partner and consultant to the business on compensation programs, policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Researches, develops, and implements compensation programs, policies, and procedures that are aligned to Yahoo's pay practices while also being market competitive, internally equitable, cost effective, and legally compliant.
- Be a strategic partner to HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and the business clients by delivering compensation solutions that support business objectives
- Partner on compensation programs including annual base pay increases, bonuses and equity programs to clients
- Ensure compliance with all related regulations including FLSA and pay equity
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of progressive compensation and human resources experience.
- Experience and high proficiency with Excel and/or Google sheets
- Must have a good understanding of broad-based compensation programs (base/bonus/equity), pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, and job evaluation.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage large, complex data sets
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands and ambiguity
- Knowledge and experience with state and federal labor laws as it relates to compensation (FLSA, pay equity requirements, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, Business or equivalent.
- Previous experience in tech or media companies a plus
- Professional certification in compensation (CCP) and human resources (PHR) a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
