Community Workshop Instructor - Utah State University

Overview:

Utah State University - Brigham City and Tremonton campuses - are looking for individuals willing to share their knowledge and talents through community classes. Examples of classes may include Arts & Crafts, Yoga, History, Astronomy, Finance, Relationship Building or anything you can dream of. These are courses that community members would take for interest and fun. Compensation is dependent on student enrollment and will be split evenly between the University and instructor. Are you interested or do you know someone else who might be? We anticipate an early October start date, with classes running 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare class materials
• Teach and work with students 1.5-2 hours per week

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Specific knowledge and passion for the subject you will be teaching.
• Ability to present engaging material in a class setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Incumbents may nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motion (such as typing).
