Community Home Lending Advisor - Vernier Harper Branch - JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.

As a Community Home Lending Advisor within our dynamic team, you will leverage your passion for homeownership and expertise to foster deep connections within the community. Collaborating with Affordable Lending Relationship Managers, Community Relationship Bankers, and Community Relationship Managers, you will ensure that customers have access to specialists who can assist them with their unique financial requirements. Your role will involve supporting existing clients and consistently acquiring new ones by actively seeking referrals both within and outside the branch, as well as from external sources such as realtors, nonprofits, consumer groups, housing agencies, and more.

Job responsibilities

• Provide expert customer service by maintaining contact with existing mortgage customers, following up regularly throughout the process, exploring opportunities and future needs, verifying value and satisfaction, asking for referrals, and solidifying the customer relationship with Chase.
• Listen to and address customer concerns and reservations, explaining financial terms and requirements, coordinating with partners and stakeholders, troubleshooting and tackling obstacles, and tracking progress from application through closing.
• Become knowledgeable about Chase products, their advantages, and characteristics, as well as local housing assistance programs and grants to assist customers in qualifying for down payment and closing cost assistance.
• Produce high quality loans by gathering all the information required while ensuring compliance with current lending guidelines and Chase policies to manage risks and customer expectations.
• Establish trust, loyalty, and satisfaction by partnering with customers to identify and recommend the best product solution for each customer through your understanding of customer's needs and interests, working together to solve problems.
• Identify the best product solution for each customer by asking the customer questions about needs and interests while following up on statuses to ensure deadlines are met and issues are escalated when needed.
• Build long-term relationships by identifying and continually engaging with pipeline of customers "not yet ready" for homeownership through the education and counseling process until ready to apply.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate.
• Five years of proven mortgage sales experience required including strong product, credit, and mortgage process knowledge and an understanding of Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Veterans Administration (VA), Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC) guidelines Unique Requirements, and low-down payment products.
• Knowledge of real estate market in local area and the ability to build new external referral sources and networks (e.g., realtors, nonprofits, community groups, civic/professional organizations required).
• Track record of customer satisfaction as demonstrated in customer satisfaction scores and customer comments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be used preparing and presenting in your community outreach when providing homeowner education and demonstrating knowledge while working with community-based nonprofits, community groups, consumer advocacy groups, and civic/professional groups.
• Intermediate PC skills in a Windows environment.

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. Your continued employment in this position would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
