Job Summary
As a Customer Communications Specialist at Avangrid, you will be responsible for producing knowledgeable and engaging written content for customer communications across Avangrid Networks
This role will also manage individual projects and support the Customer Communications department through administrative functions
The ideal candidate will have strong foundational communication skills and digital communications experience, will be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with others on Avangrid's Customer Communications team to draft newsletters, alerts, on hold messages, text messages, talking points, fact sheets, customer letters, and more.
- Execute individual projects and programs
Collaborate with team members to ensure proper execution of programs or projects.
- Perform administrative support tasks such as supporting the procurement process, inputting data into our project management tool, and processing review comments.
- Respond to edits and changes from subject matter experts with flexibility, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Assist with communication reporting.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree + 3-5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong MS Office proficiency (e.g
PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to write, edit and proofread to create high-quality communications content; strong writing and organizational skills are musts.
- Proven ability to develop content for digital channels, including (but not limited to) social media, text messages, web content, mobile alerts, etc.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills in Monday.com and Ziflow a plus.
- A team player able to work effectively and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
