Communications Specialist - Colliers Engineering & Design

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team and support Corporate Communications, company-wide.

The Internal Communications Specialist will create, curate, and deliver compelling content that informs and motivates employees, drives engagement, and strengthens our company culture. Reporting to our Corporate Communications Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with Colliers Engineering & Design’s mission, vision and values.

• Collaborate with the Corporate Communications Manager to develop and implement communication plans.
• Plan, write, edit and execute content for key communication channels, including employee newsletters, emails, intranet content, and presentations.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with company goals.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of IC strategies, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Support HR/benefits, executive/leadership, and change management/integration communications initiatives.
• Partner with Employee Resource Groups to communicate initiatives and drive engagement.
• Demonstrate qualities such as creativity, organizational skills, ambition, adaptability, and a proactive approach to offering support.
• Maintain project awareness and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Help create a best-in-class internal communications function that fuels employee engagement, and influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting all offices.

• 3-5 years of experience within a similar role, demonstration critical thinking.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or English.
• Experience with HR and Benefits communications a plus!
• Excellent writing skills, including strong grammar and ability to comply with design and editorial standards. Familiarity with AP Style.
• Attention to detail, task management, and time management.
• Ability to work in an environment based on constructive criticism toward excellence.
• Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual self-starter.
• Ability to comprehend and translate technical material into an accessible written narrative offered to a broad audience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Personable phone manner and interviewing skills.
• Dedicated team player willing to build relationships and collaborate across the broader corporate and operational teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high quality results.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint sites.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
