Larkin Hoffman is seeking to add a first-of-its-kind role to our Marketing & Business Development Department. The Communications Manager will work in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Business Development, firm leadership, and attorneys on key projects including marketing strategies, content creation, social media, media relations, blogs, and op-ed writing. This successful candidate will possess prior experience in communications with a strong background in social media, content strategy, and/or media relations. The Firm is setting out to create a PR firm within a law firm – giving a driven, creative, and strategic communications professional a wide variety of projects in different industries while offering the balance that comes from serving internal clients. We are looking for candidates with three or more years of communications experience, a strong desire to develop new policies/procedures, and an ability to navigate change management in a growing company.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primary point-person on providing support to attorneys and practice areas with marketing, communication strategies, and content generation on a variety of platforms resulting in client attraction, retention, enhanced brand recognition, and increased opportunities for the firm.
- Responsible for the creation, pitching, editing, and posting of communications that include, but not limited to, social media, op-eds, blogs, and press releases.
- In consultation with the Director of Marketing & Business Development, conceive ideas, monitor trends within the industry, and formulate effective communication options for the firm while developing in-depth knowledge of the firm’s practice groups, firm experiences, and clients.
- Collaborate with legal departments and attorneys on identifying potential speaking, publication, and professional organization outreach opportunities within appropriate subject matter expertise.
- Enhance the external communications and relationships of the firm by working with management, attorneys, and department colleagues on the development of ideas, engagement, outreach plans, and delivery through identified channels while maintaining the integrity of the firm’s reputation and brand.
- Primary liaison with external partners with the goal of driving cohesive messaging and enhancing Larkin Hoffman’s brand presence both internally and externally while cultivating these relationships.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Will consider equivalent combination of education and/or related experience if candidate does not have a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three years prior related work experience in communications with a strong background in social media and content strategy and generation.
- Media relations or public relations experience is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of prior client servicing, managing and cultivation experience.
- Preference given to candidate with related work experience coming from a public relations firm.
- Experience with restructuring and/or developing department policy, procedures, and standard operating practices is highly desirable.
Work Location:
- In-person with ability for hybrid work schedule after initial 3-months of onboarding period.
- The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $95,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, the candidates’ years of experience, education, qualifications, market demands, and other organization needs.
