Communications Manager - Lifeshape

About the Job
Scope of Position:
Develop and implement a strategic communications plan that advances the purpose and mission of the organization. Manage the major aspects of Lifeshape’s key Events.
Reports to: Director of Relationships
Job Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and oversee a strategic communications plan designed to increase awareness, generate engagement, and drive prayer support for Lifeshape’s work among relevant stakeholders.
- Lead strategic storytelling development in Lifeshape’s office space as well as other branded moments across the Chick-fil-A Support Center campus.
- Manage all aspects of major Lifeshape events, primarily the Life Conference, from event ideation to completion. Supervise design team partners to create a strategic and effective space and presence for Lifeshape at major Chick-fil-A events.
- Manage design projects, such as Lifeshape’s annual report, presentations, and other projects as needed, to support communications and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee management of all Lifeshape photo and video assets, digital brand assets, and Lifeshape’s website.
- Ensure consistency of messaging on The Compass and provide insight of strategic pages and tools designed to provide key information to participants and potential participants.
- Manage working relationships with communication and marketing vendors including brand agencies, writers, designers, videographers, and promotional companies.
- Consult with the Lifeshape leadership team around strategic projects. Serve as a liaison with Chick-fil-A PR and Public Affairs teams as needed.
Requirements:
- An evangelical believer committed to Christian service consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs who is actively involved in a church and living out his/her faith on a daily basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or business administration and experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or brand management.
- Demonstrated knowledge, training and experience in effective administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills capable of orchestrating and coordinating many tasks and functions to a successful end.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Exceptional professionalism at all levels with the ability to anticipate needs and challenges and respond in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs.
- Effective communication skills including one-on-one conversations, small group facilitation, presentation, public speaking, and writing in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs.
- Ability to work independently and as a strong collaborator under time pressures without loss of poise, grace, or humor.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations, make rational decisions, and take effective action in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs.
