In collaboration with DCM and Scientific Programs A well-respected health care association is seeking a Communications Coordinator to become a part of their growing team. This organization is dedicated to advancing health services through research and advocacy for their cause. The role involves reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing (DCM) and necessitates collaborative work with the staff. The position is primarily onsite, with the flexibility of one remote workday per week.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain editorial calendar, collaborate with staff and partners to create content that shows Foundation impact.
- In collaboration with DCM maintain website: update content (in collaboration with staff), track website analytics, liaison to website hosting company.
- Manage emails, track results including open-rate and click-rate.
- In collaboration with DCM manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Digital media: in collaboration with DCM, produce weekly email blasts; monthly Research Resources newsletter; proof quarterly honor society newsletter.
- Print media: in collaboration with DCM, produce Annual Report and a variety of brochures, flyers.
- Scan news for articles and topics of interest to stakeholders.
- In collaboration with DCM, promote and support events including annual conference: website, email, social media, app; production of booth and signage; event program brochures, etc.
- Officer (SPO), reviews proposed program content, arranges rehearsal prep if needed, set up platform for registration and production for events including webinars, follow-up with basic video editing as needed, manages archive and contacts in database.
- In collaboration with DCM, optimize database learning and using best practices, maximize features to set up structures to ensure integrity and quality, particularly for proper segmentation.
- Backup support and liaison to the editor and publisher of Research Journal
- Other duties as assigned, aligned with the strategic objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree (communications, marketing, journalism, and/or English) and/or equivalent 3+ years of relevant communications experience. This is not an entry-level position.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to function independently and proactively.
- Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Hootsuite, Video Editing, Blackbaud experience preferred.
