Communications Assistant - $24/hr-$28/hr, DC - Beacon Hill

Our client, a charter school in Washington, DC., is seeking a temporary Communications Assistant to their team with external affairs!

About the Job:

• Travel to local schools to gather content and aid storytelling.
• Write short blog posts for social media and web posts.
• Maintain website content.
• Monitor media and social media for the most relevant stories.
• Complete other related tasks as necessary.

About You:

• 2+ years of digital content creation, media relations, or communication experience is required.
• Proficiency in Mailchimp is required; Canva and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency are highly desired.
• Adaptable to following instructions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel regularly to local DC schools.

About the Position:

• $24/hr-$28/hr, depending on experience.
• Temporary
• On-site at local DC schools.
• Hybrid availability!
