Arcosa Wind Towers is looking to hire a Commodity Buyer to join one of our AWT plants. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring and managing the supply of direct materials needed for operations. This includes sourcing spare parts, managing inventory, utilizing approved vendors, and ensuring a smooth flow of necessary items to support the plant's production schedule. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Location: Newton, IA | Tulsa, OK
What you'll do:
- Perform supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, direct material, document weekly and monthly PO releases, and any purchase price variances, reconcile and document customer-directed awards price discrepancies, track and expedite shipments, and accounting issues.
- Manage sudden changes in demand, turnaround POs
- Correct and research variances for AP items on hold (PO quantity and pricing vs. quantity received and invoiced price)
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the inbound movement of materials from suppliers, alternate sources
- Manage and update weekly and monthly supply chain reports
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- 2 - 4 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized records
- Advanced computer skills; comfortable working with programs such as: Excel and BPCS
- Great communication skills with the ability to work with all levels within the organization
- APICS Certification is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
