Commissions Accounting Manager
We have been retained by a large $1B global publicly traded manufacturer/distributor located in the northwest suburbs to hire a qualified leader who has experience with managing and developing commissions statements for a large sales team throughout the US. . The company has multiple locations and sales centers around the country and this position will be approximately focused on managing and creating new commission plans for the sales force that sells large industrial products. The role will be a combination of forecasting commissions, creating monthly accurate commission statements for the North American sales team and also creating new plans for the team based on their key performance indicators. This role will interface with the CFO, VP of Sales as well as HR.
$120K to $140K depending on experience plus bonus

About the Manager of Commissions Role:
- Seeking an individual with previous commissions calculations for sales teams to work alongside the HR team, accounting leaders and sales leadership.
- The role is open due to someone in role that sis leaving
- Commissions manager will be accountable for oversight of all commissions for area sales managers and product sales manager at DMG (manufacturing and distribution environment).
- Will be looking for this person to generate new ideas or different incentive plans in future.
- current work with commission is done in excel looking to move to another program, work with VPO of sales and VO of accounting and Marion General Manager.
- will have one direct report, person calculate commission and create KPIs for area sales managers.
- need to be good with technical side of calculations, math capacity, formulas.
- Preference is for someone to come out of similar industry such as manufacturing or machine tools
- The Commissions Manager will have responsibility for 80 area sales managers across the country and also senior leaders, 120 people total.
- CFO will look to this person for forecasting of commissions based on machine sales and number of different plans in place.
- This role currently reports to Head of HR, may eventually report to VP of Accounting or VP of Sales in future.

Experience Needed:
- Seeking a min of 5 years and ideally 7 to 8 years of commissions calculation experience,
- Some previous sales experience is a plus not a must.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- will need to have some leadership skills.

- High level capacity with Microsoft Excel
