About the Project
iParametrics, in collaboration with a leading construction and facility services provider, seeks a skilled Commissioning Manager/MEP Superintendent to oversee the management and execution of commissioning processes for multiple complex projects. This role is essential to ensuring the integration, performance, and readiness of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems within critical environments, including hospitals, airports, and data centers.
Position Overview
The Commissioning Manager will lead the commissioning management (CxM) services across multiple projects, coordinating directly with trade partners and managing a team of associates. This role demands strong technical expertise in MEPF systems, proficiency in commissioning procedures, and the ability to manage documentation, scheduling, and testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning Leadership
- Interface, coordinate, and manage MEPF trade partners through plan development, inspections, and commissioning tests.
- Develop and implement commissioning and project execution plans in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Lead Operational Project Readiness (OPR) activities and oversee commissioning testing processes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Review contract documents, design drawings, and specifications for project understanding and functionality requirements.
- Oversee documentation of inspections, testing, and issue tracking through commissioning software platforms.
- Develop and maintain visual tracking and status tools for commissioning progress.
Project Coordination & Communication
- Develop project-specific commissioning schedules aligned with contractual milestones.
- Lead project commissioning team meetings, communicating schedules, sequencing, constraints, and resolutions.
- Manage and drive issue resolution to support the start-up and commissioning process.
Team Management
- Manage a team delivering commissioning management services across multiple projects.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction with MEPF/building controls contractors, general contractors, or commissioning agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Strong working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint) and Adobe Cloud.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues to clients.
- Experience with scheduling programs such as P6 or MS Project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in commissioning processes for critical facilities, including hospitals, airports, and data centers.
- Strong project management skills and ability to optimize facility processes.
Benefits & Compensation
As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods.
