Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
In this role, you will be part of a team managing a large system procurement, providing expert input and advice related to space, launch, and ground system commercial program management.
Key Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communications with a demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with customers at all levels, partners, and colleagues.
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems preferred) with 8+ years of experience in commercial space systems program management.
- Experience working on commercial satellite programs, including communication space systems.
- Must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently and in a team.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced commercial and startup environments and enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams on a diverse array of challenges related to satellite system development and implementation.
- Must be a US citizen or greencard holder.
- Role is immediate, full-time, and may be performed from N California, or S California or with regular travel. Other locations may be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
- Commercial Space Systems Program Management including evaluation of contracts, RDW, schedule/IMS, management of key milestones and deliverables.
- Spacecraft System Engineering expertise including but not limited to end-to-end architecture concepts, supplier evaluation, CONOPS development, ICD development, and creating technical proposals.
Candidate may have experience in one or many of the following:
- Subsystem design and analysis, Systems Architecture development, bus systems engineering, electrical system design, mechanical system design, TTC, Comm payload design, Orbit Dynamics, GNC/ACS design, and design for manufacture and test.
- Domain expertise across a spectrum of technical domains such as: space environments analysis and test, PMP, thermal design/analysis/test, structural design/analysis/test, reliability, launch and mission analysis, ground system design.
The typical pay range for this position is USD $130,000 - $220,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan, and other benefits (all included as part of package).
