Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Manage the day-to-day work of the construction project in a safe and efficient manner.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing commercial, healthcare, higher education, and K12, or hospitality construction projects.
- Large project experience ranging from $1M to $50M in size.
- Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
- Proficient in construction management software packages.
-Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
- Relevant certification (e.g. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associated General Contractor (AGC) certificate) is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
