WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
Schedule: This is a full-time position, typically working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Some projects may require overtime, nights, or weekends. Job sites are located primarily in the greater Jacksonville, FL area and surrounding counties.
Your Typical Day: In this role, you will start your day by collaborating with project managers to review project specifications and set up job files. As our Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic - Construction Foreman, your primary responsibilities include fabricating and installing sheet metal ductwork and air-side equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will supervise a team of mechanics, manage man-hour reports, and prepare weekly progress reports. Your leadership will ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards, reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of mechanical commercial construction experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Safety-conscious, punctual, and detail-oriented
