Central Region Commercial Sales Manager

Our Opportunity
The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for the growth, revenue, and profitability of commercial sales in the Central Region (Multiple States – including Upper Midwest, Great Lakes and South-Central territories).
Critical to the success of the position includes:
- Revenue growth of commercial products to applicators, specialty applicators, and distributors
- Raise market awareness of Maxxon products with commercial floor covering contractors
- Expense management
- Existing customer management and new customer development
Essential Functions
- Manage revenue generation and profitability throughout the Region.
- Manage/coach/develop a team of 3-4 commercial sales reps covering the region.
- In coordination with the Director of Sales, manage pricing strategies and discounts within the Region.
- In coordination with the Central Multi-Family Sales Manager, develop and grow relationships with Maxxon Applicator network.
- Develop/maintain relationships with and provide technical support to commercial floor covering contractors, general contractors (GC’s), distributors, and architects throughout the region.
- Promote and increase product awareness through presentations, phone conversations, and e-mail communications.
- Develop sales, training power points and handouts to educate GC’s, Maxxon applicator network and commercial floor covering contractors
- Develop and present power point presentations on the Maxxon product line for architectural firms and general contractors to increase the number of architectural firms that specify and use Maxxon products.
- Confer or consult with the marketing department to plan advertising services and to secure information on products and customer specifications
- Manage and resolve problem floor investigations on behalf of Maxxon, applicator network, and commercial floor covering contractors.
- Provide technical support for the Maxxon applicator network and commercial floor covering contractors within the Region.
- Represent Maxxon at national and local trade shows.
- Monitor competition within the region.
- Manage the training of new and existing dealers as it relates to how to bid and install Maxxon products.
Ideal candidate Will
- Have 10-15 years in flooring product sales management.
- Have 10-15 years in people management and professional coaching experience.
- Enjoy customer service and develop long-lasting relationships.
- Lead and develop marketing initiatives within the region, as it relates to commercial segment.
- Have ability to be versatile and work independently while still operating within a team environment.
- Proven track record of managing a profit center; including meeting regional sales financial objectives, utilizing forecasting; preparing annual budgets; and scheduling sales and marketing expenditures, while implementing change when needed.
- Have excellent customer service and presentation skills.
- Able to quickly build trusted, honest relationships with current and new customers at multiple levels within a business.
- Quickly act on customer concerns, investigate situations and recommend solutions.
- Able to travel 50%, including overnights within region or to corporate events.
