Commercial Roofing Superintendent - OS Construction and Companies Inc.

We're looking for a Commercial Roofing Superintendent in Dallas, Texas! This role is responsible for supervising roofing projects within or below the estimated labor and material totals while upholding OS Construction's high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems.
• Identify potential problems on the project before they arise and determine as well as implement effective solutions to those potential problems.
• Estimate material or worker requirements to complete projects.
• Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues.
• Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
• Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to management; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
• Communicate with project managers, associates, vendors and clients to develop and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver project photos and videos of in-progress and finished projects for Marketing purposes.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with multiple roofing systems: shingles, TPO, Metal, Tile
• Ability to read, understand and execute construction plans
• 10-hour OSHA or Equipment safety Certifications (desired)
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-motivator, and ability to follow and execute detailed instructions as given by management
• Excellent communication skills (Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus!)
• Meet driver eligibility requirements (mandatory)
• Forklift training (desired)
• Computer and Digital Camera skills (desired)
• Microsoft Office (desired)

Physical requirements

• Must be able to tolerate extreme heights, climb ladders, climb roofs of varying pitches and heights (flat to 8/12 pitch).
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions.
