Commercial Roofing Estimator - Gpac

Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator with extensive experience in the roofing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating roofing projects, particularly commercial roofing, and will be capable of handling multiple projects from start to finish. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Review architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications to identify scope, requirements, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and project details.
• Analyze roof systems, conduct site visits, and evaluate the condition of existing roofs.
• Assess labor, materials, and equipment costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
• Prepare proposals and submit them in a timely manner, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth project transitions from estimating to construction.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and clients as needed.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of current roofing technologies, techniques, and materials.
• Stay up-to-date with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of budgetary reports and cost analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a roofing estimator, with a focus on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, built-up roofing (BUR), and metal roofing.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., AccuLynx, ProEst, or similar).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to accurately assess costs and create detailed estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale commercial projects.
• Roofing certifications (e.g., NRCA, RRO, etc.) or other relevant industry certifications.
