Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our real estate transactions and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, from initial contract to closing
- Conduct comprehensive property research, including title searches, surveys. and lien investigations
- Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, leases, easements, and closing statements
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, attorneys, brokers, and government agencies
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Assist in the preparation of closing binders and post-closing documentation
- Monitor and track important dates, deadlines, and filing requirements
- Perform legal research on zoning laws, land use regulations, and environmental compliance
- Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in transactions
- Coordinate property inspections and environmental assessments
- Assist in the review and analysis of lease agreements, including terms, conditions, and financial implications
- Coordinate with title companies and insurance providers to resolve title issues
- Assist in the preparation of loan documents and review of financing terms
- Help organize and attend client meetings and closings as needed
- Stay current with changes in real estate laws and regulations, updating team members as necessary
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
