Commercial Real Estate Paralegal – Investment Management – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal position with a successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This role will report to the Director of Real Estate Operations & Risk Management. This position will be responsible for supporting contracts administration for the firm’s Real Estate Legal Team and facilitate contract management, document management, and support legal process management. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal and commercial real estate transactions experience.
This is a 6-month contract that will pay $40-50/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 1-2 days/week in the Boston office.

Responsibilities:
- Review legal contracts and approvals using the firm’s-approved templates and checklists.
- Act as the primary contact for managing insurance programs across the portfolio.
- Play a key role in the firm’s lease abstracting process.
- Track ownership changes in the portfolio and maintain related databases.
- Draft standard letter agreements, including notice letters, simple amendments, SNDAs, estoppels, and more.
- Review title insurance policies and land surveys.
- Enter investment, real estate, and vendor contract Terms & Conditions (T&C) into relevant software systems, collaborating with the Legal team to ensure compliance and monitor T&C obligations.
- Assist with the formation and maintenance of the firm’s legal entities for real estate investments, including reviewing state annual reports, updating governing documents, and preparing tax forms.
- Audit construction project change orders for legal compliance.
- Support the Real Estate Legal team in data organization, tracking deadlines, and updating and communicating key dates for legal action items.
- Respond to and appropriately direct internal and external inquiries about the status of legal documents.
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- 3+ years of real estate law firm or an in-house real estate legal department/office experience preferred.
- Must have commercial real estate experience and commercial real estate transactions experience.
- Experience with legal documents in real estate management/development.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with iManage and Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
