Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with a particular focus on commercial transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents related to commercial real estate.
- Advise clients on legal issues related to real estate transactions and development projects.
- Manage due diligence processes, including title reviews, surveys, and environmental reports.
- Assist in commercial real estate closings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide legal advice to developers, landlords, tenants, and financial institutions.
- Handle commercial real estate litigation, if necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and development teams, to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of real estate finance, land use, zoning, and development.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with real estate development and land use.
- Familiarity with commercial lending and loan documents.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the real estate market.
