We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of real estate law, with a focus on commercial transactions. This role involves a wide range of legal duties, from conducting title examinations to advising clients on real estate transactions. This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and real estate properties.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting thorough title examinations and issuing title insurance policies.
2. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial real estate documents, including leases, purchase agreements, and loan documents.
3. Providing legal advice to clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
4. Representing clients in real estate disputes and litigation, if necessary.
5. Conducting due diligence for real estate transactions, including reviewing property surveys, environmental reports, and zoning issues.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in real estate laws and regulations and advising clients accordingly.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure a high level of client service.
8. Participating in business development efforts, including networking events and client meetings.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 10 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
3. Proven experience managing real estate transactions, conducting title examinations
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
6. High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
7. Proficient with legal research tools and software.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
10. Previous experience in an AmLaw ranked firm preferred.
