Job Summary:
The Commercial Project Manager plays a vital role as a key member of our management team, focusing on the preparation and submission of geophysical and geotechnical tenders, as well as managing the successful and safe execution of awarded projects. This role involves responding to business opportunities, defining project objectives, negotiating contracts, and overseeing project teams to ensure that each project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to Company survey services.
Respond to incoming requests for information, potential projects, and work opportunities.
Evaluate business opportunities in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
Understand and assess client needs to qualify project requirements.
Bid on new projects and engage in contract negotiations.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the proposal phase.
Coordinate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to review contract scope and requirements.
Prepare cost and technical proposals with input from relevant departments.
Design and plan survey programs to meet client data collection needs.
Identify required resources, including personnel, time, equipment, and budget.
Perform risk assessments and report identified risks to management, offering mitigation recommendations.
Gather necessary documentation and information to respond to RFPs.
Complete commercial proposal requirements, including questionnaires and compliance certificates.
Write proposals, incorporating technical content as needed.
Participate in contract reviews.
Ensure the proposal package is complete and ready for submission.
Oversee project preparation, ensuring all necessary documentation and resources are organized for field operations.
Collaborate with internal teams (technical, reporting, vessel, logistics, HSE, legal) to ensure projects are set up in compliance with contract requirements and safety protocols.
Lead coordination between departments (technical, reporting, vessel, logistics, HSE, legal) to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant project completion. Maintain client communication before, during, and after field operations. Assist with client outreach and development during marketing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and Company standards, regulations, and best practices.
Work with Company’s HSEQ Manager to ensure adherence to HSEQ protocols and prioritize the safety of personnel and coworkers.
Analyze project data and generate reports to evaluate project outcomes and identify future business opportunities.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and materials for promoting and selling new projects, programs, and systems.
Manage client relationships and identify additional business prospects.
Perform other duties as required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in marine science, environmental science, geology, coastal zone management, or a related field is required.
At least 5 years of experience in project development, budgeting, and pricing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
Previous hands-on experience in marine survey work is required.
Familiarity with hydrographic and geophysical data acquisition systems and software, such as multibeam sonars, singlebeam sonars, side scan sonars, magnetometers, high-resolution seismic systems, and GNSS navigation systems.
Knowledge of marine field operations, including sediment sampling, vibracoring, grab sampling, marine boring, cone penetrometer testing, etc.
