Job Summary
The Product Manager owns and manages the overall strategy and growth performance (top and bottom line) for the Life Science, Immunology Product Portfolio. This includes (a) serving as Subject Matter Expert for company’s immunological products (Antibodies, Antigens, Blockers, etc.), competitors, and market (b) provide product support and expertise to customers including pre-and post-sales support to commercial team, (c) development and execution of product commercialization, launch and go to market strategies powered by competitor intelligence and market trend data (d) Collect voice of customer to advocate customer needs in product development strategy and marketing messaging (e) lead the team in supporting the management of the complete product lifecycle, management and development of third party suppliers and partners and development of product support material, technical support material (digital and non-digital assets) . This role will lead the development and execution against the short and long-range product roadmap in partnership with the business development, marketing, operations, and R&D organizations. The Product Manager will be accountable for the development of the product marketing and commercial strategy ensuring the appropriate tactical mix, while balancing return on investment and impact to product.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement in close partnership with key stakeholders an integrated commercial strategy for the immunological products focused on aligning customer needs with portfolio fit to achieve business objectives and sales targets- strategies include launch plans, product forecasts, pricing / access, competitive / market analysis.
- Develop and execute dynamic pricing strategies to maximize revenue and market share, leveraging data analysis and market insights.
- Translate commercial strategy into actionable marketing plans and associated tactical elements including product/service roadmap, messaging/positioning, customer segmentation, PR efforts, promotional plan, event strategy, capabilities presentations, marketing collateral, case studies etc.
- Monitor and measure marketing plan effectiveness, across campaigns and tactics- recommend optimizations and additional promotion channels and field activities.
- Drive business development and sales growth by assisting in pre- and post-sales support including but not limited to development of customer facing materials (brochures, pitch decks, webinars, etc.), serve as product subject matter expert at customer meetings and industry tradeshows etc.
- Train the Sales team and distributors on the technology, product, market, etc.
- Oversee the development and management of third-party supplier and partner engagement to ensure product delivery and information are received in a timely manner, pricing is negotiated to maintain margins etc.
- Identify new products, new technologies or improvement to enhance our product portfolio by collecting VOC feedback and understanding competitor landscape. Communicate requirements and findings to R&D and leadership to inform product development roadmap.
- Execution of pre-launch tactics including customer segmentation, positioning, branding and key customer engagement activities.
- Track product performance and customer satisfaction post sale- gather feedback and develop response plan working with internal teams.
- Develop targeted account based commercial strategies focused on key accounts for immunological products to drive retention and increased share of wallet.
- Collaborate externally and internally to identify, develop, and evaluate market conditions, cost, and margins to influence product pricing strategies.
- Develop project plans and manage cross-functional activity to ensure the timely preparation and completion of projects/programs.
- Develop, communicate, and position the Immunological Product Portfolio in ensuring consistent alignment with the overall company strategy, brand, value proposition, campaigns, analysis, and sales.
- Build and strengthen the Immunological Product Portfolio to achieve and maintain product leadership.
- Maintain open communication throughout the organization especially regarding cross-site and cross-business unit efforts.
- Anticipate future changes in the market and identify competitive threats and opportunities. Understand potential impact of any shifts in attitudes and/or behaviors of key customers.
- Present plan of action, via market research techniques, to further investigate issues and provide actionable recommendations to internal teams.
- Must be able to stand for multiple hours

- Ability to travel when needed.
Qualifications
- A BSc or equivalent experience in biology, a biomedical science or related discipline (MS or PhD preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of antibodies, antigens, immunological assays. Ideally, hands-on laboratory experience with ELISAs, EIAs, LAFs, etc.
- Minimum 3-4 years of Life Sciences Industry experience with 2-3 years in Product Management/Commercial functions
- Ability to make rapid and well-informed decisions.
- Report and communicate concisely ideas and concepts.
- Ability to work in rapidly changing environments.
- Competence with basic MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrate ownership of activities and responsibilities
- Interact with customers in a professional manner
- Demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in commercializing products.
- Appreciation of, or experience in technical selling
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with an interdisciplinary group
- >15% NA and international travel required
