About the Job
Main Purpose of the role: Plans and administers sales policies and programs to foster and promote bookings by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Major Areas of Responsibility: Responsible for day to day pricing and the daily duties for demurrage requests in the district.
Main Tasks:
- Prepare Yearly Commercial Budget
- Develops and Implement Marketing Targets for the District, to Accommodate Corporate Goals
- Tracks changes in the market and the competitive environment and positively react to the changes to benefit the company
- Analyzes marketing information, statistics and competition activity
- Uses Staffing, Training and Performance Metrics and Evaluation Tools to Develop, Improve and Sustain a Successful Marketing Program
- Analyzes and Controls District Expenditures to Conform to Budgetary Requirements
- Prepares Periodic Report showing Loading Volume, Potential Sales, and Areas of Proposed Expansion
- Directs Product Research and Development
- Monitors and Evaluates the Activities and Products of the Competition
- Pricing related activities
- Supervises and Set Guidelines for Pricing Team
- Meets with Agents & Key Clients
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rate
- Monitors agent's performance and sales activities
- Develops and Implement Strategic Plans for the best utilization of the Companies Assets in the District.
- Monitors agents activity according to the company rules and regulations
- Analyzes and Monitors the District Performance
- Assists other Departments within the Organization to prepare Manuals and Technical Publications.
Requirements
Here will be only experienced, education and specific knowledge, travel requirement, language requirements
• Strong Ocean Carrier Commercial (Sales, Marketing & Trade) background experience (2-3 years)
• Strong Knowledge if the WCSA export and import market across all trades.
• Solid understanding the reefer market, seasonality’s, and markets.
• Strong commercial skills including administrative processes / sales cycles & planning.
• Managing Experience and able to work in a matrix organization, with mentoring and supervision skills.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents and data.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Fluent in Spanish (Bi-Lingual)
• Travel requirements – 30%
• Minimum 4-year college or university
• Min 3-4 years of related experience
