Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Complex Commercial Litigation Paralegal to play a key role in supporting our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a litigation setting, with a strong background in managing complex cases., This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs, as well as preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research and fact-finding investigations to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Manage eDiscovery processes, including document collection, review, and production, while ensuring compliance with legal discovery requirements.
- Perform cite-checking and shepardizing to ensure accuracy and reliability of legal documents.
- Organize and maintain case files and document databases, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel to schedule meetings, depositions, and other case-related activities.
- Prepare for and assist in court proceedings, including assembling case materials and exhibits.
- Stay updated on changes in litigation support technology and recommending improvements to internal processes.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in commercial litigation, with exposure to complex oil and gas disputes, fiduciary litigation, wrongful death, and appellate cases.
- Proficiency in eDiscovery platforms and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
