Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the IP Litigation Paralegal involves supporting a project team of attorneys, primarily based in our Cleveland office but also across other locations as required. Key responsibilities include offering trial support (pre- and post-trial logistics), conducting various research tasks, participating in client record reviews, initiating legal pleadings and discovery, and assisting in the organization of client materials using advanced technological tools. Additionally, this position involves maintaining detailed records of case activities, managing legal document preparation and filings, and serving as a liaison between parties. Occasional travel may be necessary for trial support and coordination between firm locations.
Required Qualifications:
At least five years of related paralegal experience
Experience with trial prep, drafting, researching, and cite checking. Knowledge of federal courts, International Trade Commission (ITC), and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) procedures, including e-filings and e-discovery.
A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
A Paralegal certificate is highly preferred.
