We are on the hunt for a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile, complex commercial litigation cases and contribute to the success of our firm. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our litigation team in the preparation, management, and execution of our cases, particularly those involving intellectual property.
Responsibilities:
The Commercial Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.
2. Conducting legal research and factual investigation.
3. Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
4. Organizing and managing documents, including creating and managing databases and overseeing document production.
5. Coordinating expert witnesses and managing depositions.
6. Assisting in trial preparation, including compiling trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and managing trial logistics.
7. Assisting in the preparation and management of intellectual property litigation cases.
8. Coordinating case management activities and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
9. Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Commercial Litigation Paralegal role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial litigation paralegal, preferably with a focus on intellectual property litigation.
2. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
3. Proven experience in drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and managing complex document production.
4. Knowledge of e-discovery procedures and experience with litigation databases.
5. Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and protocols.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), case management software, and legal research platforms.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
10. High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
