Commercial Litigation Attorney - Gpac

gpac is working with a reputable firm who is seeking a defense litigation attorney to join a growing commercial litgation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in defense litigation and be licensed to practice in the state of New Orleans.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Represent clients in court and at mediation or arbitration proceedings
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and judges to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• At least 2 years of experience in defense litigation
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Strong academics is preferred
