Are you an ambitious, driven, and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate seeking for a dynamic role that will challenge and stretch your legal expertise? Our highly reputable, NY-based firm is seeking an Associate to join our Commercial Litigation team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to work in a firm where there's no billable expectation and you can focus on quality over quantity.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing and driving forward a diverse portfolio of complex litigation cases. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including business divorce, finance and banking, construction, estate litigation, and healthcare.
2. Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
3. Providing legal advice to clients and advising them on the best course of action based on the legal and factual issues presented.
4. Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court, arbitration, or mediation settings.
5. Collaborating with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
6. Maintaining current knowledge of legislative changes that may affect your clients and their cases.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in New York State.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation associate in a law firm setting, with a focus on commercial litigation.
4. Extensive experience and knowledge in areas such as business divorce, finance and banking, construction, estate litigation, and healthcare.
5. Proven track record in managing complex litigation cases from start to finish.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
