About the Job
We have an immediate opening in our Los Angeles office for a Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience preferred. The candidate should have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting preliminary investigations and responding to discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, participating in mediation, drafting dispositive motions in state and federal court and extensive communication with clients. Real estate litigation and trial experience are preferred but not required.
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in Los Angeles only is $225,000 to $255,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates should have an active California bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible We look for proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial individuals with varied backgrounds, interests, and experience for a diverse candidate pool.
