Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of agency experience as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) or similar role in an insurance office.
- Licensing: Active California Property and Casualty (P&C) license required; ongoing training to maintain the license is necessary.
- Expertise: Strong background in handling agricultural and workers' compensation accounts.
- Education: Associate of Arts degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
Job Summary:
Under general direction, the Commercial Insurance Account Manager is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and renewing commercial insurance policies. This includes handling client inquiries, issuing endorsements and certificates, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires regular interaction with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other insurance personnel to deliver high levels of customer service and quality control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Producers to process applications and resolve issues related to policy issuance.
- Review new, renewal, and cancellation policies to ensure accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
- Address client inquiries via phone or in person, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and address pending items in the management system within specified timeframes.
- Issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, and invoices for policy premiums as requested by clients.
- Communicate with clients, underwriters, claims adjusters, and insurance company personnel.
- Issue insurance binders per company policies and review loss runs for accuracy and changes in premiums or reserves.
- Participate as an active team member to achieve team goals and contribute to the organization's success.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
