Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to oversee a diverse book of business specializing in trucking insurance. This position involves both marketing and servicing accounts for small fleets and owner-operators, representing approximately $1.7M in premium. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, has expertise in the trucking insurance sector, and excels in providing proactive client service while driving account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Servicing: Manage day-to-day client needs, including endorsements, certificates of insurance, billing inquiries, and renewals.
- Marketing: Collaborate with carriers to market new and renewal accounts, negotiating the best coverage and rates for clients.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
- Retention and Growth: Ensure a high retention rate by providing exceptional service, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities to expand coverage within the existing book of business.
- Carrier Relations: Build strong partnerships with trucking-focused insurance carriers, staying updated on market trends and product offerings.
- Compliance: Ensure all policies adhere to applicable regulations and guidelines while maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial lines account management, with a focus on trucking insurance preferred.
- Marketing Expertise: Proven success in marketing small fleet and owner-operator accounts to carriers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in agency management systems (AMS360 or similar) and strong working knowledge of insurance-related software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of trucking insurance products, including coverage for motor carriers, owner-operators, and small fleets.
- Customer-Centric: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Remote Work Capability: Must have a dedicated home office setup with reliable internet and the ability to manage work independently.
