Job Details
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and expertise in commercial insurance products. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure that all client needs are met and that the highest level of service is delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial insurance clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs and ensure satisfaction.
Handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide proactive solutions.
Policy Management:
Manage all aspects of clients' commercial insurance policies, including renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of policy documents and endorsements.
Conduct policy reviews and risk assessments to recommend appropriate coverage options.
New Business Development:
Assist in the development of new business opportunities by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate insurance products.
Collaborate with producers and other team members to prepare and present insurance proposals to prospective clients.
Renewals:
Manage the renewal process for commercial insurance accounts, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of renewal proposals.
Negotiate renewal terms with carriers to achieve the best possible coverage and pricing for clients.
Market Research:
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier appetites.
Conduct market research to identify new insurance products and carriers that may benefit clients.
Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with producers, underwriters, and other internal teams to provide seamless service to clients.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements.
Education and Training:
Continuously improve knowledge of commercial insurance products and industry trends.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry events as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance account management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC is a huge plus.
