We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our dynamic Sales team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, providing them with exceptional service and strategic insurance solutions. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial lines, account management, and insurance, and will be responsible for managing and growing our commercial lines book of business.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing and growing an assigned book of commercial lines business, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
2. Collaborating with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
3. Reviewing and analyzing clients' current insurance programs, identifying gaps in coverage, and recommending appropriate insurance solutions.
4. Negotiating policy terms and conditions with insurance carriers on behalf of clients.
5. Preparing and presenting proposals to clients and prospects, explaining the benefits and features of proposed insurance programs.
6. Handling all aspects of account management, including renewals, endorsements, policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims management.
7. Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in insurance regulations to provide accurate information to clients and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Lines Account Manager position should have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, specifically within the commercial lines insurance sector.
2. A deep understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting procedures, and coverage analysis.
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers and clients.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on providing superior customer service.
5. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
6. Proficiency in using insurance software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
8. Current insurance license or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire.
