Position Overview
As the Commercial Lines Account Management Team Manager, you will oversee the service and management of a diverse portfolio of commercial lines accounts while leading a team of account managers. Your primary responsibility is to ensure outstanding client service, handling complex coverage and policy questions, and managing renewals with a consultative approach. You will collaborate closely with Producers, focusing on retention and risk management while enhancing the team’s performance and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the Commercial Lines Account Management Team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Oversee end-to-end account management, including policy review, client consultations, renewals, and day-to-day service delivery.
Adopt a holistic, consultative approach to client interactions, understanding each client's unique needs.
Collaborate with underwriters and use rating portals to support the team in securing competitive coverage options.
Guide team members in identifying, compiling, and managing renewal information, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries.
Monitor and improve team performance, leveraging coaching opportunities for continuous development.
Promote customer retention through proactive client relationship management and resolution of complex insurance matters.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry, including significant management of commercial accounts.
Licensure: Property and Casualty license required; professional designations (CIC, CPCU, etc.) are highly desirable.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with insurance management systems (EPIC preferred) and risk management practices.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and resolve complex issues.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the insurance brokerage business and relevant industries, such as commercial construction.
Software Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 based on experience.
