THIS POSITION REQUIRES EXPERIENCE AS A COMMERCIAL LENDER OR SIMILAR ROLE WITHIN THE BANKING INDUSTRY. CANDIDATES FROM OTHER INDUSTRIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Our client, a $12B banking institution in the Houston area, is looking for a Commercial Lender. The bank is in growth mode and plans to grow to $25-30B within the next 5 years, so there is a ton of growth potential for someone working at a smaller bank/community bank. Perhaps you are looking for a larger bank with more growth opportunities!

This position will be handling all commercial & industrial customers, so we are looking for candidates with strong commercial background.

• Identify prospective clients and develop new business relationships with commercial clients
• Examines, evaluates & recommends approval of commercial credits.
• Identifies & analyzes markets to develop prospects for commercial banking.
• Actively participates in business development & networking opportunities.
• Interviews customers & prospects to request specified information for credit applications and Treasury Services opportunities.
• Analyzes applicant's financial status, credit, & property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan. Works with credit analyst for verification & recommendation.
• Compiles loan package & facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, & other credit terms.
• Presents credits to loan committee for approval.
• Ensures loan agreements are complete & accurate according to policy.
• Assures timely loan closing & funding activities.
• Ability to actively manage client portfolio to include loan exception monitoring and credit quality.

Qualified candidates would have one of the following backgrounds:

• 2+ years of experience as a Commercial Lender at a banking institution
• 5+ years of experience at a bank with commercial loans as a Senior Credit Analyst, Credit Manager, Relationship Manager, or Portfolio Manager and looking to take the next step in your career.
• BBA in Finance or similar degree

Salary and bonus structure are part of the compensation package and is based upon experience. Also, there are multiple locations in the Houston area you can work at based on what's closest to where you live!
